Following our Conclave kill (seems like years ago doesn't it), we played around with a few different Heroics until we, like the rest of the raiding world, discovered Atramades had been hotfixed yet again and had become much more accessible. As such we shifted our priority towards him and quickly realized the fight was not much different in Heroic as it was in Normal. Raid downs and bad Priest healers prevented us from a kill on our first night, but we came back immediately at the start of the new raid week and downed the blind fucker in a few pulls.
LOOK AT HIM MALORIAK!
Aw fuck he's dead.
Our next focus was Omnotron, who proved quite the test us. You see we're horrible at handling repeated Situational Awareness checks over long periods of time, let alone and handling different combinations of abilities that we had to react to. Fuck that. Didn't help that our new Paladin reroll decided to Judgment Electron everytime he threw up Unstable Shield, then bitch to the raid how bad they all were for not switching fast enough. Good times.
Oh ya, we killed them eventually too. Took us damn too long though.
Next up, Magmaw. We debated that his name should be Lavamaw. But then we got confused and kept calling him Magmawtron. Hire some better creative devs Bliz.
This fight proved quite challenging for us, just from the fact that as aforementioned, we suck at Situational Awareness for anything more than 6 minutes at a time. Although, if this is the AoE healing requirements in the first Tier of raiding, I can't wait to see what the last Tier will be like though. Oh Blizzard, when will you ever figure out how to implement a healing model that matches your philosophy?
Despite being bad at pseudo-Doomfires, picking up new adds, and clicking on bugged out Chains, we managed to kill him tonight. Barely. I think Martyr was bad luck though.
Great job gang. More to come.
