Pretty much, you see him look at callahan then turn his back to play the puck. that "don't hit players on the numbers" is bullshit if the defencemen put himself in a dangerous position instead of taking the hit.

Regardless of the position Letang put himself in, Callahan shouldn't have driven his head in with his forearm. That's just dangerous and could have been avoided. But so goes the game- Letang came back so I don't really expect a suspension for it tbh.

Edit: apparently I'm behind today anyways, no hearing.

Yeah, but his elbow to the head would've been a forearm push in the arm or chest if Letang didn't cower from the hit. Letang literally turned his back and bent over which put that elbow high on his back which then slid up into his head while Callahan was trying to stop. It was a super awkward hit and it's easy to see Callahan didn't properly finish it, but there was 0 chance he could've avoided it completely at that point.

Classic french Canadian! haha. He made a bad decision but he's a hell of a defenceman.

Pittsburgh takes it in OT.

They're going to win another Cup....deal with it :)

They're not going to win the conference finals if they don't stop allowing 2 goals in one period. I know Murray is young, and he holds himself together after allowing a goal, but it forces perfect play for the rest of the game. He got bailed out by the crossbar in the 3rd; otherwise, Pittsburgh leaves its home ice and has to win 4 of 5 to win the series. They got off lucky. They have to win at least 1 on the road, and even that puts them at a 1 game elimination. Wouldn't count on them winning until they can go take two on the road.

Pittsburgh is holding on by a thread tbh. They need to start playing like they actually want the Cup.

You must not be a Penguins fan. The pulling of Murray was ridiculous and uncalled for. Murray gives Pittsburgh the best chance to win.

The Pittsburgh Pirates bullpen is currently called the "Shark Tank" and will need to be renamed for the duration of the Stanley Cup playoffs. The only logical suggestion is the "Septic Tank" and may not even be reversed after the Penguins win in 7.

ill root for shitsburg only because it doesn't snow in San Jose and my logic tells me they shouldn't have hockey in places where ice doesn't form naturally

it was originally no H BTW

Pittsburg. Pennsylvania.
The city was chartered in 1816, its name being spelled without the h,

We ain't living in the 19th century now. At least you know some backstory to it - most people just spell it without the H because they don't know. Better are the ones who add H to cities that don't use one.
