It's too late Melbu. 3 months off is terrible.

FWIW the seasons for like all sports is too damn long
Baseball
Hockey
Basketball

all too damn long

football both US and Euro are the only 2 that seemingly get it correct

IDK, i think its silly that US football is only 4 months but gets talked about all year long. So annoying to hear football talk in April.

There's never a month it's not being talked about on sports radio, ESPN, etc. Just because its the most popular sport in the US.

Anyways, sorry Saitek. Benniguin just too strok for your Flyers.

Poor CJB, first team in 18 years to start 0-7-0. Their season is basically over already.

Also, football season is a joke. They play 15ish games, with about 10 minutes of actual movement and running. Then they miss 4 weeks with fucking turf toe?! Joke.

I dislike the speed of the NFL, but you can't argue that the NFL has the most athletic and physically gifted players of any sport, ever, no matter what.

Also, if you've never had turf toe, shut up (that shit hurts like fucking hell). They also play on/with broken Fibulas, Ulnas, feet, hands, and generally are the toughest dudes you'll ever get a chance to look at.

I did have it a few times and it is unpleasant yeah. Agreed about their athleticism, they just don't use it a whole lot the way football works. Of course the way the sport works now and as strong as they are, the impacts are taxing on the body, which is the reason for such a short season, I'd guess. I do enjoy watching highlights and summaries of football games, don't get me wrong, but a whole game has zero flow to it and is just taking too long. Also dudes are overpaid, although I guess they do throw away their health for the most part.

I have no point with this. Go hockey! Although 82 games until playoffs after a deep playoff run are boring.on the other hand, more hockey to watch and learn.

On yet another hand, Marko, did you see that crazy rugby defense recently during some game that defended for a whole fucking long time? Wales maybe?

Also, fuck Pittsburgh. That's the start they deserved.

The biggest draw for football is the short season. A team only gets 8 games at home, whereas they get 40+ in the rest. It creates a hype that can't be matched.

In terms of athleticism, the pacing of the game lends itself to more explosive athletes. If these guys had to play 60 minutes of play time, they'd look far more like rugby players or basketball players instead of the hyper-athletic freaks of nature that they are.

I've had turf toe too, very mildly each time. They get that shit on a whole different level due to their speed and quickness. It wouldn't be fair to compare mine to theirs.
