I dislike the speed of the NFL, but you can't argue that the NFL has the most athletic and physically gifted players of any sport, ever, no matter what.

Also, if you've never had turf toe, shut up (that shit hurts like fucking hell). They also play on/with broken Fibulas, Ulnas, feet, hands, and generally are the toughest dudes you'll ever get a chance to look at.

I did have it a few times and it is unpleasant yeah. Agreed about their athleticism, they just don't use it a whole lot the way football works. Of course the way the sport works now and as strong as they are, the impacts are taxing on the body, which is the reason for such a short season, I'd guess. I do enjoy watching highlights and summaries of football games, don't get me wrong, but a whole game has zero flow to it and is just taking too long. Also dudes are overpaid, although I guess they do throw away their health for the most part.

I have no point with this. Go hockey! Although 82 games until playoffs after a deep playoff run are boring.on the other hand, more hockey to watch and learn.

On yet another hand, Marko, did you see that crazy rugby defense recently during some game that defended for a whole fucking long time? Wales maybe?

Also, fuck Pittsburgh. That's the start they deserved.

The biggest draw for football is the short season. A team only gets 8 games at home, whereas they get 40+ in the rest. It creates a hype that can't be matched.

In terms of athleticism, the pacing of the game lends itself to more explosive athletes. If these guys had to play 60 minutes of play time, they'd look far more like rugby players or basketball players instead of the hyper-athletic freaks of nature that they are.

I've had turf toe too, very mildly each time. They get that shit on a whole different level due to their speed and quickness. It wouldn't be fair to compare mine to theirs.

They never are.
I'm not one of those fans who came out at the gate saying they were going to make the playoffs, the team is still a few major pieces away from making that push. But I already feel better about their play this season versus last season. Way better coaching and overall team buy in. Cam Talbot has been awesome so far and of course Mcdavid already looks like the best player on the ice in some games.

They're still probably going to be a lottery team but I think they're on a real upward swing for the first time in 10 years.

I think they look better than their stats seem. They will be in the middle of the pack this year I think.

I see them as a non-lottery non-playoff team. Still an improvement.

If Oilers have a 1% chance in the lottery you can't count them out ;)

It's one or the other. First three picks getting lotteried off this year too.

Poor Rush. Edmonton is cursed. At least Matthews will look good on McDavid's wing.

I'm so depressed. This is terrible for the NHL, he was so much fun to watch play.

I need a new team because yes Edmonton is fucking cursed.

Just hop on the Montreal bandwagon already! We take anyone north of the border.
