What's up and future plans

Post by Actovision » Sun Oct 12, 2008 4:33 am

Just wondering how you lot were doing and what your plans are for this upcoming expansion. No hate-replies please, unless they're SFW. Then it's cool .

Warlock unless they're nerfed to shit in pve or pvp or god forbid both. If lock doesn't work out, finding another class with very high pve dps that's capable of pvp and preferably not a rogue.

Honestly, no class has been nerfed. With gear and skill any class can put out respectable amount of damage. These so-called "nerfs" are really nothing more than changes that actually require you to dps in a different way than what you're used to right now.

PS. Only reason I'm rolling a DK is cause of their playstyle, not because they can put out crazy dps or have uber tanking abilities (which they don't). At this point in my wow playing, I'm simply tired of druid playstyle and want to try out something new.

Varn, I took one look at DK, saw that they had as many end game skills packed into their 26 levels as my mage has in total, and said fuck that. If you've been keeping up with that craziness I have to give you props.

Avanne and Mel, from what I've seen from the comparisons put out so far for wrath (if their accuracy is to be believed) Affliction is supposed to be way up there in terms of caster dps. This could hinge on some broken talent or other, or it might have been fixed by now; I'm not sure. Last chart I saw had aff ahead of fire and elementalist mages by a couple hundred at level 80.

I plan on playing a huntard in the expansion. I guess I am just tired of rogue right now (been playing once since pre-BC) and want to try something new. Of course it could turn out that Exitus and Payload are just that good and the hunter class sucks in general but we shall see.

And Swole will be sticking with a druid (I think). I will find out when I call him and harass him about the Panthers losing to the Bucs. El oh El.

I hear hunter in pve is being made more intuitive and less "if you dont read a hunter theorycraft forum don't bother playing", any thoughts?

i heard that if you spam the macro your dps will suck once you get a faster bow... so you need to time your steady shot kinda like a warrior timing his slam so it doesn't coincide with his swings... i.e. something too hard for an imbecilic tbc spammer like me

If anything its more mindless plus no one intelligent has come forth and done any sort of math or shown there work so really everyone is on there own atm.

Auto shot is unlinked from steady so auto will fire every CD, oh and they killed BM HOORAY BACK TO MM.

Literally nothing like that, its much more simple. spam steady shot(no macro) use kc on its cd the end(for BM at least.)
