We went in Wednesday with the goal to master P2 DPS and get experience with P3. Things didn't well end that night, with our best attempt around 10% with multiple Empowers. However, we ended up performing extremely well in P2, mastering the DPS needed and intricacies to staying alive, that we felt confident in our abilities to down this encounter within the coming night. We went in for a rare Thursday raid, and pushed the encounter for a few hours, hoping for a kill. Unfortunately the night ended in heartache as we had multiple attempts ending at 8%, 6%, and then finally 2%. We knew we had everything in place needed to get the kill, we just needed to refine our pickups and Empower Shadow taunt strategy a little bit, and a little bit of luck.
And thus, we had to wait. We rested and recharged over our raid break, took Sunday off to counter the Thursday raid, and came in tonight, eager and determined. We quickly two-shot our repeat Algalon kill, and we knew we were on our A games for the night. Our first pull on 0 Light left him at 8% with one Empower. Slowly but surely our taunts and Yogg DPS were getting better. And three attempts later...

And thank you to you all for the gift of my amazing floating baby head. Time to farm some more!
I gave my epic progression speech for the Alg update, but this really was the culmination of Ulduar for us. We again jumped another 20 spots to land a 20th US kill, top 10 Horde, finalizing our Ulduar score atm to #24th US. The jumps we've made in this 3.1 instance have been amazing, and we have a lot to live up for in this 3.2 patch with ToC Heroic encounters, but we're up for the challenge. Thank you for your dedication and persistence to everyone in the guild, and thank you for the support of our friends on Ner'zhul as we accomplished our goal of achieving these prestigious two server firsts.
Pat yourselves on the back boys, we did it!
